CUNA Helps Refuel Political Parties

WASHINGTON – CUNA reported Friday it contributed $85,000 to various conduits of the Democratic and Republican parties, the semi-annual downpayment on some $200,000 the credit union group donates to the two parties every election cycle.

Contributions of $15,000 went last month to: the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee; Republican National Committee; National Republican Congressional Committee; National Republican Congressional Committee; and of $5,000 to the Republican Mainstreet Partnership PAC and the New Democratic Coalition.

CUNA also made $5,000 contributions to the House Conservatives Fund and the Tuesday Group PAC, which supports centrist Republicans.
