MADISON, Wis. CUNA Mutual Group and its employees union, the Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 39, have reached an agreement on a new three-year labor deal that will give the Union’s 700 Madison-based workers 3% raises for each of the years, as well as ratification bonuses.
The deal also sets lower company contributions to retiree health benefits and the defined pension plan, as sought by CUNA Mutual.
The contract also sets new work at home language for eligible employees and leaves the average work week at 37-and-a-half hours, rather than the 40 sought by the credit union insurer, Deb Eveland, business manager for the Union, told the Credit Union Journal this afternoon.
The pay raises are retroactive to April 1, she said.
The agreement was reached during negotiations yesterday.
The details will be provided for the Union members Tuesday, prior to a Wednesday meeting when they are scheduled to vote on ratification.
The OPEIU 39 also represents office and clerical workers at CUNA and the World Council of CUs.
