CUs Enhancing Used Auto Loan Offerings Through SiriusXM

Credit unions can sweeten the deal on auto loans by offering a free trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite ratio, thanks to a new partnership with the Cooperative Credit Union Association.

Credit unions in Massachusetts, Delaware, New Hampshire and Rhode Island (the four states served by CCUA) now have the option to offer members a free trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio when they finance their used-car purchase through a participating CU.

Used auto loans constitute 21% of the overall credit union lending portfolio, and CUs are continually looking for new ways to enhance their lending and offer more perks to members.

The package consists of more than 150 satellite radio channels and offers "a wide range of ready-to-use marketing materials," CCUA said in a release. "Credit unions can register users, see activity reports and access helpful information about SiriusXM and the program on [CCUA's] website," the trade group noted.
