DAYTON, Ohio — Thomas Newton has been named the new president and CEO of Dayton Firefighters FCU.
A 27-year veteran of the credit union industry, Newton most recently served as SVP-member services for Universal 1 CU in Dayton. Prior to that, he spent 25 years with FirstDay Financial FCU, where he advanced to the role of EVP-operations.
Newton is also involved in the Miami Valley Chapter of the Ohio Credit Union League, where he has served as the chapter's secretary/treasurer since 2009.
"We are very excited that Thomas is joining our team here at Dayton Firefighters Federal Credit Union," said Thomas Scott, Chairperson of the Board. "His dedication and proven track record will make him a strong leader for our credit union. We are looking forward to what he can bring to the credit union as President/CEO."
Dayton Firefighters has $50 million in assets and serves more than 3,800 members.
