Dead Men Write No Checks

PALM BAY, Fla. - (04/11/05) -- A local teenager was charged lastweek with stealing guns and a checkbook from a deceased neighbor,then writing almost $13,000 worth of checks on the dead man'saccount at Space Coast CU. Eighteen-year-old Thomas Biles wascharged with breaking into the home of the recently deceasedneighbor, identified as Ignatius Celeberto, stealing four rifles, ahandgun, ammunition and the checkbook. The checkbook was on a jointaccount with the late neighbor's daughter, who told police morethan $13,000 had been withdrawn from the credit unionaccount.
