WASHINGTON-Steve Delfin, executive director of the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF), is leaving the position effective Dec. 31 to take over as president/CEO of America's Charities, ending a five-year stint at the NCUF's helm.
America's Charities is a federation of 180 non-profits that work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of workplace charity donations using payroll deductions.
"We have set a strong foundation and positioned the Foundation as a thought and action leader in improving the quality of life for people in underserved and emerging markets through credit unions," Delfin said. Delfin said he is most proud of the development of the "REAL Solutions" program; REAL Solutions was initially piloted by the Filene Research Institute. Delfin also spearheaded NCUF's involvement in the PBS' BizKid$ TV series.
