Delta Community Credit Union gets a bigger community

Atlanta-based Delta Community Credit Union is set to serve as many as 400,000 new members following a field-of-membership expansion.

The $5.8 billion-asset credit union announced last week that it has expanded its FOM from 11 to 14 counties in the Atlanta metropolitan area, including Douglas, Paulding and Rockdale counties.

“We… look forward to offering consumers in these counties the personalized care, trusted advice and superior value that’s at the heart of our member-owned, not-for-profit structure,” Delta Community CEO Hank Halter said in a statement.

Delta Community posted net income of about $59.1 million in 2018, a 32.8 percent increase from the prior calendar year.

Over that period, the credit union’s membership climbed from about 369,900 to 390,900.
