ST. PAUL, Minn. – Check printer Deluxe Corp. announced an agreement to acquire Hostopia.com, a Canadian provider of web hosting services for small and medium-sized businesses, for $125 million (Canadian).
The acquisition represents Deluxe’s latest diversification effort, following last month’s deal to offer prepaid cards.
Hostopia provides customers with the technology, infrastructure, and support services to enable them to offer web services, while saving them research and development as well as capital and operating costs typically associated with the design, development, and delivery of web services.
