PHOENIX – Desert Schools FCU last week presented a check for $323,833 to the “1 Darn Cool School” at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Since 1998, the $3 billion CU has contributed almost $2 million to support the Children's Miracle Network. All funds directly benefit child patient education and infrastructure at the hospital. Donations from Desert Schools provide for teacher salaries, books, computers, Internet access and all needed school supplies.
The hospital check donation featured a rare appearance from Katie Stam, Miss America 2009, who also serves as the National Goodwill Ambassador for Children's Miracle Network.
