PHOENIX – Desert Schools Federal Credit Union last week presented a check for $340,000 to the One Darn Cool School at Phoenix Children’s Hospital – a $90,000 increase over last year’s donation.
Desert Schools is the top credit union in fundraising for the hospital. In 2007, it raised more money for Credit Unions for Kids than any credit union in the nation.
Southwest Wildlife Rehabilitation brought an array of animals to Phoenix Children’s Hospital to celebrate Desert Schools’ check presentation. Desert Schools’ support makes it possible for the hospital’s school team to provide the wildlife experience and other educational programs and services to the patients at Phoenix Children’s.
Desert Schools is Arizona’s largest credit union with $3 billion in assets, 350,000 members and 64 locations.
