PHOENIX – The day before Sunday’s Super Bowl extravaganza, Desert Schools FCU will sponsor another kind of football championship to benefit a local charity, and will give away a pair of tickets to the NFL title game to be held in nearby Glendale the following day.

The fifth annual "Snoop Bowl," named after its chief sponsor, the rapper Snoop Dog, will pit youth football players from Snoop’s southern California league against youth from the host city.
Proceeds from the game will benefit the Matt Leinart Foundation, a partner in community events, sponsorships and co-branded designer accounts with the $3 billion credit union.
This year’s Snoop Bowl will be played in nearby Chandler, Ariz.
