PHOENIX – Desert Schools FCU said it awarded one member a $1,000 member referral award, part of $70,000 and 70 prizes the credit union will give out this year to celebrate its 70th anniversary.

Credit union members who referred friends and family to join were eligible for the cash prizes. Other ways to win included; opening a checking account, setting up direct deposit or enrolling in Bill Pay with eStatements.
The winner of the referral sweeps is Daniel Jackson, who uses the credit union’s branch in the Wal-Mart in Payson, Ariz.
