Desert Schools FCU Raises $230,000 For Children’s Hospital

PHOENIX – Desert Schools FCU said yesterday its annual golf tournament this week raised $230,000 to benefit Phoenix Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network -- a $10,000 increase over last year.

Funds were raised at the credit union's 11th Annual CMN Golf Tournament held at the Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia, in Peoria, Arizona.

In 2008 Desert Schools raised $362,000 for the hospital. All proceeds benefit the "1 Darn Cool School," an on-site classroom facility that benefits long-term patients.
