PHOENIX – Desert Schools FCU will donate $300,000 to Phoenix Children's Hospital next week, the largest donation of any credit union to Credit Unions for Kids for 2007.
Funds were raised through a variety of events including branch change drives, a bowl-a-thon, employee barbecue and the 2007 CMN Golf Tournament which raised $175,000 for the hospital—one of the largest amounts raised in a single day for a credit union.
Desert Schools, Arizona's largest credit union, has contributed more than $1 million to Phoenix Children's Hospital since 1999.
The check will be presented at a ceremony next Friday at the hospital. Southwest Wildlife Rehabilitation is bringing an array of animals to Phoenix Children's Hospital to celebrate Desert Schools' check presentation.
