During 2005, employees of Desert Schools FCU here raised more than $200,000 for the Children's Miracle Network and the Phoenix Children's Hospital through a variety of efforts. Among them:
* The credit union sponsored three in-branch drives, where tellers asked members to give their loose change to CMN. Those requests raised more than $117,000.
* DSFCU hosted its Seventh Annual CMN Charity Golf Tournament, raising nearly $72,000.
* The credit union sponsored a CMN barbecue, which brought in another $7,000.
* Desert Schools' Fifth Annual CMN Bowl-A-Thon held at three different AMF facilities across the Valley raised over $4,000 in employee donations.
