Director Ends 46 Years As Volunteer For Fairfax County FCU

FAIRFAX, Va. – Lila Carnevale, vice chair of the Fairfax County FCU board of directors, is retiring after 34 years on the board and 46 years as a volunteer for the $280-million credit union in suburban Washington, D.C.

Carnevale served on the credit union’s supervisory committee from 1966, when the credit union had just $407,000 in assets, to 1974, and 1978 to 1979. She was chair for seven of those years. She was elected to the board in 1979 and has been a director since then, including 26 years as vice chair.
