DNA Leads To Arrest Of Suspect

DNA taken from the glove left behind during a Feb. 27 armed robbery at Guardian CU led police to charge an inmate in the state prison for the heist. Brian Walls, 33, was charged with armed robbery, kidnapping and brandishing a firearm in connection with the robbery. Walls was serving time in prison on drug charges when ID'd from DNA found on the glove he allegedly left behind after the hold-up. A second suspect, Demetrius Moore, 23, also faces similar charges in the case. The two allegedly kidnapped an Ameritech employee, bound him up and threw him in the back of his van, then used the van as their getaway car after the heist. The two robbers left the credit union with about $8,700.
