LOS ANGELES-Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) staged a "Vacation with a Low-Rate Visa," promotion giving members the chance to receive 2.9% APR on Visa Convenience Checks and a free trip to Hawaii.
Members who applied and were approved for the cards during the promotional period, or who were pre-approved and accepted one of LAFCU's Visa credit cards, were entered into a drawing to win a trip for two to Hawaii, including roundtrip airfare and a five-day, four-night stay at a luxurious hotel.
The credit union used the drawing to promote the use of LAFCU's low-rate Visa Convenience Checks to transfer balances from high-interest creditors or get cash advances in time for the holiday shopping and travel season.
Other card benefits include no annual or transaction fees, everyday low rates on purchases and cash advances, and free "Travel Accident & Baggage Delay" insurance.
