Drug Addict Robber Sentenced to Six Years Behind Bars

MADISON, Wis. – A self-admitted heroin addict and drug dealer was sentenced to six years in prison Monday for her role in nine armed robberies, including two at Great Wisconsin CU. Amanda Green, 26, told the judge she became a heroin addict at 18, then turned to selling the drug, before moving on to the more lucrative business of robbing banks and credit unions to finance her drug habit. Green faced a much longer prison term but was granted leniency for testifying against her boyfriend and accomplice, Jeffrey Dempsey.
