Duke University FCU CEO Lee Fogle announced his plans to retire, and current COO Daniel has been tapped as his successor.
Fogle has been CEO at Duke FCU since January 1997. He will end his nearly 18-year reign in December.
During his tenure, the credit union launched new products such as debit cards, mortgages, automated teller machines, and online and mobile services. The credit union's assets have grown by 400% during Fogle's term as CEO, the company said in a press release.
Fogle also served as chairman of the board of the First Carolina Corporate Credit Union. He also served on several state and national committees and helped begin a regional credit union CEO roundtable. Additionally, Fogle was on the faculty of the NAFCU's Management Leadership Institute.
