LOS ANGELES – State Senate Majority Leader Gloria Romero became a member of E1 Financial CU at its new branch in her home area of East Los Angeles this week to help celebrate the credit union’s new initiative in this low-income community.

The new branch opening marks the first credit union in this community, which has been largely abandoned by mainstream financial institutions for years.
The branch is one of three opened in recent weeks by E1 Financial. The others are in Monterey Park and La Verne.
