Earnings Dip For Fiserv

BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Fiserv reported a slight decline in fourth quarter earnings of 2%, to $116 million, as revenue growth was almost flat.

Revenue for the fourth quarter was $1.08 billion, up slightly from $1.06 billion for the same period the year before. The company said its payments segment grew 3% in the fourth quarter and its financial segment by 2%.

For the full year Fiserv reported a 1.4% rise in revenues to $4.1 billion, and a 4% rise in net income to $496 million.

Fourth quarter highlights included new contracts with Fort Financial CU, Gesa CU, Zions Bank and Diebold, among others.

The company expanded its payments footprint in the quarter by signing 163 electronic bill payment clients and 55 debit clients, and signed 537 electronic bill payment clients and 218 debit clients in the year.
