ATLANTA – Electronic payments provider CheckFree Corp., in the process of being acquired by Fiserv, yesterday said net income for its fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30 fell 4% to $29.8 million, or 34 cents a share. First quarter revenues, fueled by CheckFree’s acquisition earlier this year of Carreker Corp. and Corillian Corp., rose 30% to $296.5 million. CheckFree stockholders earlier this week voted in favor of Fiserv’s $48-a-share, or $4.2 billion takeover of the company.
