BEAUMONT, Texas - (10/o3/05) -- All 50 credit unions in east Texasand the Louisiana coast that were shut down by Hurricane Rita werereported operating at some level Friday afternoon, NCUA said. Someof the damaged institutions were running from back-up sites, whileothers were operating from branches, but members at all 50 creditunions had full access to their funds by Friday afternoon, thefederal regulator said. The agency continued to man its hurricanehotline through the weekend at (800) 827-6282, and two emergencywebsites for Texas and Louisiana credit unions, at RitaTX@ncua.gov,and RitaLA@ncua.gov.
