MIRAMAR, Fla. - (01/06/05) -- Eastern Financial Florida CU hasdesignated the month of January as Red Cross Disaster Relief Monthand said it will devote the month to raising donations fromemployees and members for the American Red Cross InternationalResponse Fund for tsunami relief efforts. The $2 billion creditunion giant said it will match money raised through donations fromthe public as well as a number of events and programs throughoutthe month for its 644 employees. Those include raffles for sportstickets, gift baskets and special parking; sales of Krispy KremeDonuts and ice cream at the credit union's headquarters; a carwash; chair massages; and allowing employees to pay $3 to wear bluejeans on Fridays. Separately, next week it will present $16,841 tothe Red Cross for Caribbean hurricane relief efforts.
