Education Resolution In Mont.

A non-binding resolution encouraging the Montana Board of Public Education to incorporate financial education into the content and performance standards established for Montana's public schools and which also urges the Boards of Trustees of Montana's school districts to implement those standards into their curricula has passed this state's House and Senate.

The resolution, drafted by Montana CU Network staff, notes that a high school financial education course-with instructor's manual, student workbook, and supplemental materials-already has been developed by NEFE, CUNA and other sources at no cost to schools.
