Elderly Driver Crashes Through Front Of CU Branch

OREGON CITY, Ore. – A car driven by an elderly man just before noon Friday hopped a curb, crashed through the front window of an OnPoint CU branch and kept going until it was right in the middle of the lobby.

Firefighters arrived and said the driver, an elderly man, was outside of his car. He was evaluated at the scene and did not suffer serious injuries. One woman inside the branch was taken to the hospital in an ambulance for treatment.

The building was evaluated and determined to still be structurally sound. An estimate of the damages has not yet been made available.
