BOULDER, Colo. – Elevations CU, the former University of Colorado FCU, has applied to state regulators to convert to a community charter serving almost 350,000 residents of the two surrounding counties, Boulder and Broomfield. The $700 million credit union was chartered in 1952 to serve employees of the University and converted earlier this year to a state charter. The state Financial Services Board will hold a public hearing next month on the field of membership expansion request.
