ERIE, Penn. – Erie FCU is giving away prizes and other giveaways with magic themes for youth any one of its six branches as an inducement to membership.
Any youth who opens an account or makes a deposit can also take home backpacks, rulers, pencils and crayon wheels. The credit union is also awarding $100 to one lucky youth member. Anyone under the age of 18 who makes a deposit during Youth Week is eligible for the prize.
As part of Youth Week, employees are reaching out to local schools by participating in the Save-Up School Program in partnership with Erie Times Newspapers In Education - Invest in Your Future program. Nearly 100 students from the CHAMPS after school program at Jefferson Elementary School and Emerson-Gridley Elementary School are participating in the Save-Up program this year, which helps teach students the importance of saving and spending wisely.
