ROCHESTER, N.Y. – ESL FCU is opening its first branch in the city of Rochester that is not on property owned by Eastman Kodak, its corporate sponsor. The branch is the $3 billion credit union’s 17th and 12th outside of Kodak. The credit union, now New York’s largest, was founded in 1920 by corporate founder George Eastman as a savings and loan for Kodak employees, and became one of the few S&Ls to successfully convert to credit union in 1993.
