ASHLAND, Ky. – A former employee of Bluegrass Community FCU was charged with embezzling more than $165,000 from the credit union, including $77,000 after she was fired last April.
During her employment Crystal Smith had access to a money market account the credit union maintained with City National Bank and was able to retain access after she was fired from the credit union, enabling her to withdraw $77,000 from the account, according to court records.
