Ex-Employee Barred For $725,000 CU Theft

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – NCUA yesterday banned Anna Salazar, a former employee at Alamo FCU, for embezzling more than $725,000 from the San Antonio credit union.

Salazar was convicted of embezzlement in 2009 and sentenced to 41 months in prison. She was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $725,047 for the scheme, through which she and her husband used the credit union’s funds for personal expenses and to finance their business.

NCUA also banned Marsha Richard, a former employee at Atlantic Regional FCU, for stealing $520,000 from the Brunswick, Maine, credit union. Richard is serving a 33-month prison sentence.

Also banned was Jeanette Young, a former employee at Bluestream Community CU in El Dorado, Kan.
