Dupaco Community Credit Union found a way to get its annual report some newspaper coverage-by publishing the report in newspaper form.

The eight-page broadsheet is four-color on the front and back covers and black-and-white inside, and features all the credit union's financial information, along with an explanation of the differences between banks and credit unions and nearly 50 articles inside on its products, services, initiatives and community work.

Below, Chocolate Bayou Community FCU, Alvin, Texas, has for the second time published an eight-page, black-and-white tabloid newspaper called "Community Cents" that was distributed to 28,000 households in its market.

Cover story notes that 15,000 people already belong to the credit union, and then explains what a credit union is. Inside, text promotes numerous CDCFCU-related endeavors, and includes advertising from a half-dozen local firms. Back page of paper is in Spanish.
