FALL RIVER, Mass. – Fall River Municipal CU said Michael Shea, the third generation of his family to serve on the board, has been elected chairman of the panel.

Shea’s grandfather, Louis A. Shea Sr. was one of the founders of the credit union, serving on the board from the first meeting of incorporation on Jan. 27, 1930 until 1965 when he was voted honorary president.
And Shea’s father, Louis A. Shea Jr., served on the board from 1965 until 1975.
Michael Shea, who has served as a director since 2002, is also a fourth generation Fall River firefighter.
