Family Advantage Federal Credit Union in Tennessee expands charter

Family Advantage Federal Credit Union in Spring Hill, Tennessee, is expanding its fields of membership and eligibility within its home state.

The $90 million-asset credit union said it received approval from the National Credit Union Administration to venture beyond its original service areas of Williamson and Maury County to now accommodate 12 new counties in Tennessee.

“This community charter expansion is integral in advancing our growth objectives … we've identified a strong need for trusted, reliable, accessible and affordable financial solutions amongst consumers of all types throughout the expansion demographic," John Kenley IV, president and chief executive of FAFCU, said in a press release Wednesday.

Residents who work or live in Perry, Wayne, Hickman, Lewis, Lawrence, Giles, Marshall, Bedford, Lincoln, Moore, Coffee and Franklin Counties will now have the opportunity to become members of FAFCU.

“We are extremely excited about the future of FAFCU … while it is a long and thorough process, NCUA's approval highlights our financial resilience and stability, strategic plan and commitment to serve this expanded market," Kenley said in the release.
