BRANDON, Fla. – The old Brandon Hometown Buffet, a favorite local eatery on Sunday mornings, will become a branch of Mid Florida CU this summer.
Where families once enjoyed Sunday morning breakfast or a buffet lunch after a skating session at Skateland of Brandon, they now will be in line at the credit union, which has acquired the property and is rebuilding it into a branch.
The new branch, which will maintain the footprint of the restaurant, is set to open by Aug. 1.
The new branch is a replacement for the credit union’s current location on Oakfield Drive, a facility it shares with The Tampa Bay CU and University of South Florida CU. That facility will remain open without Mid Florida being a part of it.
