- SAN FRANCISCO (10/03/01) - Federal authorities areseeking to locate the majority of an estimated $12 million in cashstolen from Bank of America accounts at Loomis, Fargo & Co. FBIofficials said the two suspects charged in the huge bank theft,Bryan Rosenquist and Michelle Serrao, ran a multi-million-dollarhorse racing business which raced nine thoroughbreds throughoutCalifornia, despite earning salaries of $40,000 and $28,000 a yearat Loomis, Fargo. Authorities said they have recovered about $3.4million of the stolen cash but are still searching for more than $8million of the funds. The two also owned a ranch in Vallejo, wherefederal agents found about 50 horses, 100 cattle and otherlivestock, and several sports cars. Rosenquist and Serrao werecharged last week with stealing the cash from Loomis, Fargo'sRichmond, Calif., vaults over the past three years. Some of themoney was laundered through nearby Travis FCU, according to theFBI.
