CINCINNATI - (10/14/05) -- Fifth Third Bancorp announcedThursday its checking account customers will become the first toget free daily access to their credit histories from all three ofthe nation's credit bureaus. The service, called Fifth ThirdIdentity Alert, is designed to protect the customers from anyfraudulent request for credit information. Customers enrolling inthe service will obtain daily email alerts notifying them of creditreport changes; unlimited access to credit reports and scores;$25,000 identity theft protection; and fraud resolution andrecovery support.
