First Alliance CU Launches ‘Talk2Us’ Live Teller Service

BYRON, Minn. – First Alliance CU unveiled its new “Talk2Us!” call center, which allows members to reach a First Alliance teller from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Prior to the new system, when members called, calls were routed to the first available teller in the three First Alliance branches, including two in Rochester. Now, the new center enables credit union members to reach a Byron teller on the first try.

“Talk2Us is similar to a full service branch, only over the telephone, which provides the same levels of service excellence that is provided in all three of our branch locations,” said Pam Evans, member advocate and Talk2Us manager.

With the call center, members can apply for loans, check account balances, make transfers and conduct most of the transactions they could do in person, the credit union said.

To accommodate the additional Talk2Us staff, First Alliance moved its teller line to the lobby, where members can conduct transactions face to face with a teller. First Alliance also added a number of part-time tellers to accommodate the increased branch traffic.
