LUTHERVILLE, Md. — First Financial Federal Credit Union of Maryland named Eric Church as its new president/chief executive officer.
"Eric has been with us at First Financial for many years," said board chairman Robert Brenneman in a statement. "He served as our Interim CEO since July and has been our Vice President of Finance and Information Technology since 1994."
Brenneman added that Church has been an "integral part of our growth and success over the years."
During Church's tenure at First Financial, the credit union's assets have soared from $200 million to just under $1 billion.
"It is an honor to accept the role of president/chief executive officer of First Financial," Church said. "I am very excited to continue my tenure with the credit union and I look forward to building on our rich history of offering unparalleled services to our members. It has been a fantastic 20 years, and I am looking forward to many more."
Church holds a B.A. in economics with certificates in accounting and finance from the University of Maryland.
First Financial has 59,000 members and nine branch locations, serving employees, students, and parents of the Baltimore and Carroll County public school systems, among others.
