RICHMOND, Va. — Two credit union vendors have teamed up to make a $10,000 donation to Children's Miracle Network in honor of Virginia CU, which won the FIS/Unisys FIRST Award for 2012.
In its second year, the FIRST Award is a national award honoring innovation, service and technology in the financial services industry. It was presented to Virginia Credit Union in May in Orlando, Florida.
"We are very grateful that FIS and Unisys highlighted the creativity of our employees with the FIRST Award," said Jane G. Watkins, President/CEO of Virginia Credit Union. "We could not be more pleased that this generous contribution will support the vital work for the children and families served by Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU."
Virginia Credit Union has supported CMN Hospitals for years through volunteer time, fundraising and event participation, including during the annual Anthem LemonAid event.
