WASHOUGAL, Wash. – A suspected robber at LaCamas CU was arrested Wednesday after a police chase and crash where officers said he threw a bomb out of the car.
Police said the man told them he had an explosive device when he robbed the credit union just after noon.
The suspect walked in to the credit union with a note saying "I have bomb" and got away with the cash. Then led police on a chase at speeds up to 55-miles-per-hour along the Washougal River. After a chase, the car crashed and flipped beside the river.
The robber was identified as 40-year-old Shawn Bradley, a handicapped man who had just lost his fiancee, and was given a 72-hour eviction notice.
