Fla. CUs Seek Broad Communities

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-Three state-chartered credit unions have applied to regulators with Division of Banking for large community grants, including OMNI Community CU, Jacksonville, which has requested permission to serve 950,000 residents in Duval and St. John's counties.

Also, City-County ECU, Clearwater, has applied to serve the 950,000 residents of Pinellas County; and Central Florida Postal CU, Orlando, has asked to serve the 900,000 residents in Seminole and Brevard counties.
