SALEM, Mass. --An Iraq war veteran who admitted robbing St. Jean’s CU in adjacent Lynn four times over a seven-week span last year to feed his cocaine addiction received three to six years in prison as well as two years of probation Friday.
Derek Chriastiansen, 35, pled guilty to four charges of unarmed robbery.
Christiansen’s lawyer told the judge the defendant served as a Marine, and did tours in Iraq, Bosnia and Germany, but now suffers from manic depression and post traumatic stress disorder brought on from his childhood and military position.
