BRAINTREE, Mass. – Liberty Bay CU is raffling off a dream vacation valued at $2,500 as part of the grand opening of its new branch here 20 miles south of the city, where the former Boston-based credit union relocated last year.
Following a Red, White and Blue theme, a highlight of the activities includes Liberty Bay’s efforts to support our troops. Members of the community can purchase raffle tickets for a dream vacation – with a portion of proceeds benefitting Homes for Soldiers. The credit union is asking guests to bring cell phones for recycling to benefit the Cell Phones for Soldiers Program, and items for Soldier Care Packages.
An ice cream social, “Shred-It” document shredding and a visit from the Braintree Police Department also will be in the lineup of activities.
The $570 million credit union, formerly known as Telephone Workers’ CU, is one of the nation’s oldest, dating back to 1917.
