David Rauch, 53, was arrested earlier this year after participating in an online discussion with undercover officers posing as a woman who would allow him to have sex with her five-year-old daughter. Rauch had used his work computer to commit the crime.

Rauch pleaded guilty ton March 1 to two counts of child sexually abusive activity and one count of using a computer in the commission of a crime.

In addition to jail time, Rauch must register as a sex offender, pay $2,000 in restitution and court fees and he is prohibited from ever participating again in a computer chat room.

Prosecutors, who believe the sentence is too lean, have said they will appeal it.
