Freitas had an auto loan with Sound CU, his wife with Rainier Pacific Bank. The rare coincidences continued, as not only were he and his wife paying off their auto loans on the same day, but doing so at branches of each institution across the street from each other.
The blog compares the time and the number of people involved in each respective transaction, with the credit union taking one-quarter the time and half the people. Rainier Pacific Bank, incidentally, is a former credit union that converted to a bank charter.
