Former EDS' Unit, CUIG, Now IntegraSys

The credit union business unit that Fiserv acquired in July from EDS has a new name, IntegraSys. The unit had been known within EDS as CUIG, for Credit Union Industry Group.

The new IntegraSys will continue to operate as an independent unit. With the name change comes a relaunch and reengineering of the CUBICS core processing platform for the small- to mid-sized credit unions preferring an in-house solution. Called CUBICSPlus, more than 100 of the existing 260 CUBICS customers have signed up for the new solution, using the Microsoft .NET framework, Microsoft SQL database and a standard XML interface.

The new software application also integrates ATM and debit transaction processing with the core. "The .NET development framework allows IntegraSys to make software changes, enhancements and fixes quickly, easily and remotely, skipping the multi-phase process required for updating a legacy system," the company said. The new version also processes ATM and debit card transactions online, real time, versus overnight in batch, in addition to the Virtual Branch Internet banking and bill pay services already available.

According to CUBICSPlus Product Director Dave Campbell, CUBICSPlus is an entirely new product developed to replace the existing CUBICS platform, and "provide the small and mid markets with flexibility and advanced features enabled by the latest technology for an affordable price."
