BURBANK, Calif. – A former vice president with a credit union here has been sentenced to more than three years in prison and ordered to pay restitution following conviction on charges he embezzled nearly $832,000.
Milton Callan pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement of funds in 2009. According to prosecutors, Callan acknowledged he had executed a scheme in which he opened corporate accounts at a number of local stores, where he then purchased electronic items, gift cards, food, and furniture for personal use.
