Founder Retires After 51 Years On Michigan CU Board

MONROE, Mich. – William Straub, one of the founders of Education Plus CU, has retired from the board of the $62 million credit union after serving for 51 years.

As a teacher in Ida Public Schools in 1957, Straub was instrumental in forming what originally was known as Monroe County Teachers CU. He spent 31 years as treasurer, eight years as vice chairman and two years as chairman.
